A studio series about expression. My brother Willem tells stories with his face and his hands no words needed. Photographed in black and white, because nothing should distract from him.

Willem walked into my studio and within five minutes I knew: this series would need no props, no colour, no distractions. Just him, the light, and time.
We worked slowly. Between the poses came the real pictures — a doubt, a grin, a thought passing across his face. His hands turned out to be storytellers of their own, so they got their own series of portraits. Black and white, because nothing should come between you and him.

All of my series are available as framed fine-art prints for exhibitions — in galleries, offices, waiting rooms or cultural spaces. Tell me a little about your space and I’ll get back to you with the possibilities.
Are you a publisher interested in featuring one of these stories? I’m also open to publication use — get in touch and we can pair the images with a written piece built around the story.
